Shang-Chi Marvel Simu Liu Marvel Studios
Shang-Chi is number ONE at the box-office for the THIRD week in a row! It's made over $300 MILLION worldwide. What a feat in this covid era for any movie, let alone an ASIAN-LED one!
I personally am feeling so inspired from watching Shang-Chi!! I don’t think I’ve ever understood what (Asian) representation feels like until I watched this movie. Being born in and raised in the US, as an Asian-American, I didn’t feel like I belonged. I spent a lot of my childhood living a double life – quiet and reserved at school, and felt much more at home in a Chinese school.
I've trained in Wushu since I was 7 but it wasn’t until I watched Mulan that I got the courage to show people who I really was. I never want my children to feel that way! I love how Shang-Chi the movie represented all of those groups, North American-born Chinese, overseas Chinese, and Asian immigrants as a whole. The characters were so relatable – from the nods to taking off our shoes, to getting scolded about getting married to our most filial friends, to getting scolded about our job choices – and it showed how there is actually someone like me in the writers’ room.
Cheers also for including Indian Americans as Asian-Americans because they are. The action scenes were phenomenal and you could tell the cast really poured their heart into training and preparing for performance. And finally, in the end credits, seeing the first Asian superhero actually stand beside Mr. Wong, Captain Marvel and Dr. Bruce Banner aka The Hulk, just made me realize that, oh man, this is real. This actually happened. Let’s keep these Asian-led blockbusters coming!!

🎗PHẦN BÀI MẪU
People tend to work longer hours nowadays. Working long hours has a negative effect on themselves their families and the society so working hours should be restricted. Do you agree or disagree?
Working longer hours is getting more common in today’s society. I personally believe that this trend not only has a severe impact on the workers themselves, but also on their families and the community as a whole. Therefore, I totally agree with the idea of limiting working hours.
A few decades ago, a person normally worked an average of eight hours per day. Average daily working hours in recent years, however, have significantly increased to ten or even fourteen. This, in my opinion, adversely affects employees’ health and productivity. For example, people who spend longer at work are more likely to suffer from various health issues, ranging from fatigue to more serious problems like anxiety disorders or even stroke . Failing health leads to more sick leave , poor work performance and low productivity. My cousin is a case in point. Working nearly twelve hours on a daily basis, he frequently feels exhausted and makes more errors at work than he used to.
I also think that extended hours of work has serious consequences for families and communities . At the family level, busy work schedules prevent people from taking frequent family trips or even just having meals together. Relationships among members are greatly weakened if they cannot make time for each other. In terms of community life, overworked people do not devote time to voluntary activity that brings benefits for their society. My uncle, for example, hardly has time for local community service projects such as conservation work or working with a charity because he works more than sixty hours per week.
In conclusion, I would argue that working time should be reduced since the frequency of long working hours exerts an adverse effect on employees, their family bonds and their community.

Gig、Concert、Live
=================================
Do you want to come?(今夜ライブするけど、見に来ない?)」
例えば、外国人の友達が「I have a teaching gig tonight.」
✔Part-time jobの代わりにPart-time gigとも言う。
<例文>
I heard you're doing a gig. Can you send me more information.
Did you hear Brian landed a part-time gig at Google?
That sounds like a pretty cool gig. Does it pay well?
--------------------------------------------------
2) Concert
--------------------------------------------------
<例文>
I'm going to a concert tonight.
I heard Bruno Mars is having a concert next month. I really want to go!
Are you going to Lady Gaga's concert?
「ライブに行く」を英語で言うなら「I’m going to a concert」になります。
︎✔Live
・「Watch(See) _____ live」→「
・「_____ is performing live / do a live performance」→「(誰々が)ライブ(生演奏)をする」
<例文>
I went to Sam Smith's concert and saw him live! He's amazing!
My friend's band is performing live at the party this weekend.
There's a live band playing at that bar. Let's go check it out.

Business is about making tough choices. Who is your primary customer?
How do your core values prioritize company shareholders, emoloyees and cuatomers? Who come FIRST?
We believe our first responsibility is to the patients, doctors and nurses, to mothers and fathers and all others who use our products and services....
We are responsible to our employees who work with us throughout the world.
We are responsible to the communities in which we live and work and to the world community as well....
Our final responsibility is to our stockholders. Business must make a sound profit....
When we operate according to these principles, the stockholders should realize a fair return.
Be honest! .....
Yes! The airline puts employee happiness above customet satisfaction.
Southwest ranks employees first, customers second, and shareholders third.
Rap!
Southwest company blog says: "We believe that if we treat our employees right, they will treat our customers right, and in turn that results in increased business and profits that make everyone happy."
你唔好以為Southwest Airlines 淨係員工開心喎,根據權威市場研究公司 J.D.Power 2020 survey,Southwest Airlines 嘅顧客滿意程度 customer satisfaction 都係全美國最高,both long and short-haul.
Yes.
To me ....「顧客不是永遠對的!」 As said ...
Who comes first in your business? Company/Shareholders, Customers, Employees? 最緊要搞清楚 WHO COMES FIRST!
Who is your primary customer? Who comes first? Company/Shareholders, Customers or Employees?
What Critical Performance Variables Are You Tracking?
