Grim Film was founded in 2011 by Jared Lee upon the success of the short film, ‘The Long Distance Relationship’ which has garnered over 2 million views on YouTube and was a Top 10 finalist in the 2011 BMW Shorties. As a director and an executive producer, Jared has grown Grim Film from a YouTube channel producing short films, comedy sketches and travelogues into a full-fledged production house. This is a space documenting my passion in acting and arts. Long story short, I've graduated in Digital Animation back in 2010. Been working in a hotel line since as a family business. Started dabbling in acting for my first short film Alone Forever around February of 2012 which became the crucial starting point when the video became an overnight success. Unfold by JinnyboyTV soon followed right after the success of the first video, which also did extremely well and exceeded expectations. After a steep success in both those video's, other opportunities started pouring in and since then, i've appeared in different fields of acting such as commercials and music videos and of course more short films such as Sincerely, The End by GrimFilm, Unfold 2 and The Rose by JinnyboyTV. Currently I am part of an upcoming movie called "OLA BOLA" by Chiu Dao. It's going to be an exciting journey and I hope that everyone would enjoy following me in this year of endless possbilities!

To those who didn’t know, Jared was diagnosed with testicular cancer late February, and to those who’ve been following his journey, Jared has undergone chemotherapy, just a day before the 14th Malaysian General Elections. This is Jared's first 5 days of chemo.
