Rather, it’s that introductory methods classes taught students that there was A RIGHT WAY TO DO THINGS and those students became professors and taught other students and eventually we ended up with an absurd dogs breakfast of an inference system that (I suspect) even Fisher or Neyman would have found ridiculous.”
