世大運第一天將結束，明天週一有什麼值得期待的呢？就是擊劍！我們請到了融化不少荷粉的凡努能，跟 #荷粉 說哈囉。他說，選手村很棒，有超過一萬人的選手和教練，非常的國際化，幾乎全世界的國家選手都有參加。週一，他將在南港展覽館比個人賽，週四將會是團體賽，他也會跟其他的荷蘭擊劍帥哥們一起出賽。
22歲的凡努能10歲開始學習擊劍，一學就愛上。他說他就像所有的小男生一樣，想要拿劍跟人比武！直到進入專業訓練，他才漸漸了解擊劍的道理。他每天訓練，希望自己更快、更聰明，技術更上一層樓，成為更好的擊劍手。他過去曾經參加過歐洲錦標賽和世界錦標賽，而台北的世大運是他第一次參加世大運。他希望能夠展現他過去多年來所有的累積，並且想要參加2020年東京奧運。
而特別的是，世大運結束，他還不會馬上離開台灣！他在知名的台爾夫特科技大學，主修設計工程，因此他藉著這次比賽的機會，選擇在賽後留在台灣實習，將會到台灣創意設計中心，致力要讓台灣的設計師在全世界更有競爭力。他說他很興奮，能夠留在這裡比較長的一段時間，並在台灣工作。他也會找擊劍俱樂部繼續自己的練習。

The first formal day of the Universiade is about to close. What’s for Monday? Fencing! We invited Dutch fencer David van Nunen to say hi to his fans. He said the athletes’ village is great, with more than 10,000 players and coaches and is truly international with players from almost every country. He will attend his solo competition on Monday, and his group competition on Thursday.
David is 22 now. When he started fencing at the age of 10, he directly fell n love with it, because “which boy doesn’t like to fight others with a sword?” When growing older the passion grew, together with the amount of training hours. he started to better understand the game and everything that comes along with it. Now he is training every day to become faster, smarter and more technical, and thereby a better fencer. In the last years he competed at European and World Championships. Now, here in Taipei, he is competing at his first Universiade. At these World University Games he wants to fence at his best and to show all progress made in the last years. He is among for for Tokyo 2020!
Also, after the Universiade 2017, he won’t leave Taiwan immediately. He studies design engineering at the Delft University of Technology, and he seized the chance of visiting Taiwan to participate in an internship here at the Taiwan Design Center, which aims to make Taiwanese designers more competitive worldwide. He said he’s excited that he could stay for a longer period and work here in Taiwan. He will also look for a fencing club to continue his training.
