今次返黎見到佢出咗新menu, 多左成15款burger、小食、仲有素食🤤 試咗個新嘢The Korean🇰🇷($80HKD) 裡面有泡菜、芝士同埋一隻流心蛋😍 加上呢度本身所有牛肉漢堡扒都係100% dry-aged beef, 所以味道係出色嘅。另外仲叫咗個Karaage🍗($48HKD) 類似日式唐揚炸雞,正!佢仲推出咗個印花獎賞計劃,食夠80蚊就有一個印花,集齊就可以用黎免費換burger、小食同啤酒🍻 抵玩!

The Korean🇰🇷($80HKD) Kimchi, cheese, garlic mayo & a sunny side up🍳 with an oozing egg yolk! All the burger patties here are made with 100% dry-aged beef, so quality is always promising. Karaage🍗($48) here almost felt like popcorn chicken - crisp, crunchy and served with mayo for an extra devilish kick😈

For this episode, we went down to JOMO to complete an UNDEAFATED 2KG Burger Challenge! JOMO is located at Holland Village and is restaurant + bar concept featuring Western-style cuisine and bar bites. The décor is sleek and minimalistic, appealing to the modern consumer. On top of their standard burger menu, they have an UNDEFEATED burger challenge with a 15-minute time limit. Completing it makes your meal free. Specifically for my challenge, the staff promised to have a company-wide volunteer outing should I complete it in under 10 minutes.
The challenge comes with a 5-patty beef burger. The patties are dry-aged Angus beef from Sidecar. Together with the patties, the burger is loaded with a cheese sauce, onion rings, sliced cheese, bacon and an egg, nestled between 2 toasted buns. Besides the burger, the challenge has chicken-salted fries, purple coleslaw and a Bourbon Vanilla milkshake, with a total weight of around 2KG.
You could taste the dry-aging noticeably in the patties, which had a deep meaty flavour but were a bit on the dry side. Eaten as a package with the cheese, egg and onion rings, the burger really came together as a flavour smorgasbord. The fries had an interesting addition, chicken salt, and you could taste the strong chicken flavour if you licked the salt off the fries. However, eaten en masse and with chilli sauce or ketchup, the mild chicken flavour was drowned out by the stronger ones. The coleslaw was decent, not too sweet and still crunchy but nothing exceptional. The milkshake was very strong alcohol-wise, but pleasant enough to wash down the burger with.
I completed this UNDEFEATED 2KG Burger Challenge in right under 9 minutes, committing the staff at JOMO to partake in a volunteer activity together. The challenge is not overwhelmingly huge or technical, so 15 minutes is a reasonable timing for a large eater. JOMO serves a variety of affordable Western food including other kinds of burgers, steaks and their signature Fish & Chips. Do head down to JOMO to eat your way to a free meal!

人參糯米雞Ginseng Chicken Rice
重點秘訣:圓糯米要先泡水,米芯才能煮透。
Key Tip: First soak the round glutinous rice in water so that the rice can be cooked through the core.
材料:
小土雞1隻、圓糯米160公克、薑片10公克、人參鬚20公克、紅棗5顆
Ingredients:
1 small free range chicken, 160 grams round glutinous rice, 10 grams ginger, 20 grams ginseng, 5 Jujube red dates
調味料:
米酒50㏄、鹽1茶匙、水1000㏄
Seasoning:
50cc rice wine, 1 teaspoon salt, 1000cc of water
作法:
1.圓糯米洗淨泡水1小時。
2.將小土雞放入電鍋外鍋中,再將圓糯米塞入雞腹中。
3.接著加入薑片、參鬚、紅棗,再加入水、米酒、鹽,蓋上鍋蓋。
4.按下開關,煮約1個半小時至雞肉軟爛即可。
Preparation Method:
1. Soak the round glutinous rice for 1 hour.
2. Place the small chicken into the outer pot of the cooker, and stuff the chicken belly with round glutinous rice.
3. Then add ginger, ginseng, and jujube, add the water, rice wine, salt, and cover the pot.
4. Press the cooking switch and cook for about one and a half hours until the chicken to becomes tender.
花雕雞鍋Shaoxing Rice Wine Chicken Pot
重點秘訣:花雕雞汁當鍋底,風味香濃有特色。
Key Tip: Add Shaoxing rice wine to the bottom of the pot tp enhance the characteristic flavors and aroma of the chicken broth.
作法:
剁塊仿土雞 1/2隻、芹菜段 120公克、蒜苗段 100公克、柳松菇 150公克
Ingredients:
Cut 1/2 of a free range chicken, 120 grams of celery, 100 grams of garlic cloves, 150 grams of chestnut mushrooms (velvet pioppino)
辛香料:
薑片20公克、蒜片10公克、乾辣椒10公克、蔥段30公克、花椒5公克
Spices:
20 grams ginger, 10 grams garlic slices, 10 grams dried chili pepper, 30 grams green onions, 5 grams Sichuan pepper
火鍋料:
白菜適量、綜合火鍋料適量、綜合菇適量
Hot Pot ingredients:
Desired amount of Chinese cabbage and mushrooms mixed in with the contents of the cooking pot
調味料:
花雕酒 300㏄、辣豆瓣醬 5大匙、蠔油 4大匙、細砂糖1大匙、水 400㏄
Seasoning:
300cc of Shaoxing rice wine, 5 tablespoons chili bean paste, 4 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon fine granulated sugar, 400cc of water
作法:
1.電鍋外鍋熱鍋,倒入沙拉油,再放入辛香料和辣豆瓣醬炒香。
2.加入雞肉塊炒至乾香後加入蠔油、花雕酒。
3.蓋上鍋蓋,煮約20分鐘。
4.開鍋蓋加入芹菜、蒜苗、柳松菇、水,拌炒至熟即可。
5.待鍋內的雞肉及料吃完後,再加入高湯及火鍋料煮至滾,一鍋兩吃。
Preparation Method:
1. Pour salad oil into the electric cooker's outer pot, add the spices and stir-fry the chili bean paste.
2. Add the chicken pieces, saute until dry , then add oyster sauce and Shaoxing rice wine.
3. Cover with a lid and cook for about 20 minutes.
4. Take off the lid and add green onions, garlic, chestnut mushrooms, and water. Stir until it is cooked.
5. Keep the remaining contents of the pot after having finished eating and add broth to the hot pot. Cook until it boils. Makes a pot of meat to eat a second time.
麻油雞Sesame Chicken
重點秘訣1:加米酒不加水,雞湯更鮮甜。
重點秘訣2:起鍋前再加一些米酒,酒香濃郁、雞湯鮮甜。
Key Tip 1: Adding rice wine without water makes the chicken broth sweet.
Key Tip 2: Adding some rice wine before removing it from the pot, concentrates the wine and sweetens the broth.
材料:
剁塊仿土雞1/2隻、老薑片100公克
Ingredients:
1/2 of a free range chicken, 100 grams aged ginger slices
調味料:
胡麻油5大匙、料理米酒1200㏄
Seasoning:
5 tablespoons sesame oil, 1200cc cooking wine
作法:
1.薑片及胡麻油倒入電鍋外鍋中爆香。
2.加入雞肉塊炒至變白,加入900cc米酒、蓋上鍋蓋。
3.煮約20 分鐘,打開鍋蓋,倒入其餘米酒再煮滾3分鐘即可。
Preparation Method:
1. Pour the sesame oil and ginger slices into the electric cooker's outer pot and stir-fry.
2. Add the chicken and stir-fry until the chunks are white, add 900cc of rice wine and cover the pot.
3. Cook for about 20 minutes, take off the lid, pour in the remaining wine and bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
蒜頭烏骨雞Garlic Silkie Chicken
重點秘訣:雞腹也塞蒜,蒜香才能滲透肉中。
Key Tip: Stuffing the inside of the chicken with garlic allows the garlic to penetrate the meat.
材料:
烏骨雞1200公克、蒜仁300公克、薑片10公克、枸杞5公克、杏鮑菇片200公克
Ingredients:
1200 grams Silkie chicken, 300 grams garlic cloves, 10 grams ginger slices, 5 grams Goji berries, 200 grams sliced King oyster mushrooms
調味料:
米酒50㏄、鹽1茶匙、水1000㏄
Seasoning:
50cc rice wine, 1 teaspoon salt, 1000cc of water
作法:
1.烏骨雞放入電鍋外鍋中、塞入一半的蒜仁。
2.再加入另一半的蒜仁、薑片、枸杞、杏鮑菇片。
3.加入水、米酒,蓋上鍋蓋。
4.按下開關,煮約1個半小時至雞肉軟爛,再加鹽調味即可。
Preparation Method:
1. Place the Silkie chicken into the electric cooking pot's outer pot and stuff it with half of the garlic cloves.
2. Add the other half of the garlic cloves, ginger slices, Goji berries, King oyster mushrooms.
3. Add water, rice wine, and cover the pot.
4. Switch on the pot. Cook for about 1.5 hours to tenderize the chicken, then season with salt.
