- Những lưu ý trong Task 1 để viết bài đạt điểm cao hơn nha:
1.Đừng copy câu hỏi chép xuống đoạn mở bài, nên paraphrase.
Ví dụ:
The diagram below shows the life cycle of a salmon, from egg to adult fish.
= The diagram illustrates the stages in the life of the salmon, from birth to maturity.
2. Phân đoạn 1 cách rõ ràng, có 4 đoạn
Đoạn 1: Paraphrase đề bài
Đoạn 2: Overview
Đoạn 3: Phân tích 1
Đoạn 3: Phân tích 2
3. You won't get a high score if you don't write a good overview.
Đoạn overview 1 - 2 câu
Simon advice: Always try to write two sentences.
Don't put any numbers in your overview. Save specific numbers for the 'details' paragraphs.
Start your overview with a simple phrase that clearly shows the examiner that this is your summary paragraph e.g. It is clear that... , It is noticeable that... , Overall we can see that…
If there are two different charts, write one overview sentence about each chart.
Don't look for individual 'highest' or 'lowest' figures such as a 'peak' on a line graph. Instead, describe the highest and lowest items overall
Look for overall trends, and ignore individual figures that don't fit the trend. For example, if a graph shows a rising trend overall, you can ignore a specific year when the figures decreased - save that year for your 'details' paragraphs.
4. Hạn chế miêu tả 2 số liệu riêng biệt, mà nên có sự so sánh giữa 2 số liệu.
Cách 1: qua từ ngữ miêu tả 2 số liệu khác nhau như thế nào
Cách 2: Dùng linking words để tăng tính kết nối như by contrast, while, however...
5. Không nhất thiết phải miêu tả tất cả những con số hiện trong biểu đồ. Nên miêu tả những đặc điểm nổi bật, so sánh, tương phản…
6. Don't spend longer than 20 minutes on task 1. Stop yourself after 20 minutes; remember that task 2 is worth more marks. About 15 - 17 mins

How to overcome fear of speaking a language 🙈
(PS...new video coming on Monday about whether or not introverted language learners REALLY need to practice speaking or not ... keep your eyes peeled for that discussion!)
Anyway, here are some tips for overcoming fear in those situations where you do need to use a foreign language. 👀
1. Analyze the situation and go easy on yourself 🥰
Identify WHY you’re afraid of speaking a language. It could be because you’re too shy or because you don’t know enough vocabulary. If you use the wrong particle, grammar structure or word, what’s the worst that can happen? If people laugh at you, that’s a reflection of them as a person, not you.
2. Prepare vocabulary and phrases in advance ✍🏽
When I was working as a design intern at a Japanese company, I was really scared that I wouldn’t understand anything during meetings and presentations. It helped me a lot to look up words I suspected I might hear during the internship. I built vocabulary lists and example sentences of design-related vocabulary. You can’t find a textbook for every topic, so taking matters into your own hands and creating your own language learning materials boosts your confidence.
If you cannot remember or don’t know a word, you can always talk around the word and describe it in another way. If you don’t know the word for “cake” for example, but you know the words “sweet” and “food”, you can say “sweet food” and they might say “cake?” in return.
3. Practice beforehand 💬
Just like practicing a speech for a presentation, you can practice using new words and phrases in a safe environment until you’re ready to use it with a native speaker. This could be talking to yourself, a pet, a chatting partner online, or a tutor. My favorite method is talking to people on voice apps. When I can’t see someone’s face and they can’t see mine, I feel less ashamed of making mistakes.
4. Record yourself 🎥
You'll hear your mistakes easier and be able to correct them if you need to, but you'll also gain confidence over time hearing that you aren't actually as bad as you think you are! You can use sites like Forvo to hear a native pronunciation or ask a native speaker friend you trust to correct you first, if you like.
5. Relax ☺️
Remember not to take language learning too seriously. Your goal is to communicate with others, right? It’s counter-effective to worry about using the right words and grammar each time you try to say something. And it's always OK if you prefer to do other activities rather than speaking - we all learn languages for different reasons and if you prefer reading books and watching movies, that's totally fine too 💕

Blue skies , warm sand on your feet, cool breeze in your face, the waves of the Pacific Ocean washing in , suns up, good friends around, Party Ons!! Ahhh .. I’m sure there’s a whole lot of you day dreaming of your next beach sessions with your friends and are counting the days to when this current crisis is all over and done with!!
hey good for you coz I’m dreaming of the same thing too.. but can we all for the next few weeks just stop WHINING !! BITCHING !! COMPLAINING !! on social media about the current situation that we’re in. It’s not doing anyone good !! STOP sharing and reacting towards DUMB statements made by shallow minded people on the internet .. they are not trying to share or make a difference .. they are just trying to gain publicity and fame from your ignorance in sharing or reacting towards their post. It sickens me to see so many Opportunist who are taking this advantage and ridding on these negativities and what’s sad about it I even know a few of these self proclaim self righteous peeps ( I have better words to describe them tht came to mind but I’ll keep tht to myself )
If in all honesty you don’t know how to better spend your time by doing other stuff to keep yourself occupied try using social media in spreading the more positive news, feel good statements, give hope, create more positive contents. We are in a time where it matters in being KIND. If you don’t feed those FAME HUNGRY VULTURES they will just die of hunger .. don’t lower yourself in being used by them.. if you are dissatisfied then take that action and MAKE A DIFFERENCE and not just cower behind those mindless complains on social media ..
This is my 5 cents worth!! I know even with such a long rant I can’t stop you. But what I could do is UNFOLLOW you or UNFRIEND you. If this does happen I hope you understand. I’m doing this just for my own mental health sake plus it’s also called Social Distancing :) •
