Self-partnered — Emma Watson享受單身現狀而創出的新字,表示享受與自己作伴。

Spinster? Old maid? ‘Single dog’?
Terms used to describe single individuals
We are living in an era that celebrates singlehood. The population of single individuals is increasing by the day, but many derogatory terms are still constantly used to make fun of them. These derogatory terms will even further reinforce the negative stereotype towards single people. Which of the following terms do you hate the most?
Old hag (‘lou gu po’) – unmarried old woman
‘Leftover men/women’ (‘sing nam’/’sing lui’) — Men/women who have reached the age to marry but still did not do so
Experienced women (‘sing lui’) – has the same Cantonese pronunciation as the ‘leftover women’; the concept came from a reality show which gave single bachelorettes a makeover and helped them find partners
‘Himono onna’ – originated from Japan; used to describe young woman who have given up on love, and they prefer to live a laid back life like dried mushrooms
‘Bai hyun’ or which literally means defeated dog – originated from Japan; used to describe unmarried woman who have reached their 30s; just like ostracized stray dogs
‘Gwong gwan’ or literally means ‘single man’ – originated from mainland; used to describe bachelors at first, but soon became a general term to describe all single individuals
‘Dan san gao’ which literally means single dog – commonly used by netizens from mainland; the use of the word ‘dog’ is derogatory
‘Duk lam’/’duk lui’, which literally means ‘poisonous men / women’ – originated from Japan; has a similar pronunciation as ‘lonely men/women’; refers to single men and women who fail to attract the opposite sex
Bachelor (‘dan san gwai zuk’) – a man without a partner and is financially independent
Diamond bachelor (‘zyun sek wong lou ng’) – a single man who is rich and has a successful career
Self-partnered — a term actress Emma Watson coined to express the joy of living with her own self
Be it single or married, you must learn to take good care of our health and lead a healthier life.

Just because you have not mentally conceptualized an action doesn't mean you are not practicing it. In this mind-heavy society we live in, we give a lot of power and respect to the people who have coined and trademarked terms to basic but beneficial human practices, but this is disempowering.
I am here to tell you that you may be practicing what these "experts" are telling you to practice, without even consciously knowing it; so don't easily give your power to these so-called "experts." They are just people with equal value, like everyone else. Your higher self is your true "God," your true celebrity.
This video was kind of "ranty" and critical of others. I am a hypocrite and also a fallible being. I love all, and just hope that we can grow and become better people together.

The song in my intro and outro was done by Hyper Potions, and it is called Time Trials. You can check out the full song here: https://youtu.be/mnfNWe-HHsI.

A simple and brief reply to the question, "What is Ideology?" In this video, my groupmate and I explain 2 definitions of ideology coined by well-known theorists, Karl Marx and Louis Althusser.
The bibliography and list of references can be found at the end of the video.

I made this video because I started on it for no reason and kinda just continued so HERE IT IS!!:} :D
Actually this was kinda what I had in my head when I first wrote the song... Mainly dissociating from the world because I was depressed and sad and confused… Just usual growing up existential crisis things~ you know what I mean!!
But the song centers around 2 thoughts that I really kinda helped me through.
1) This idea of emotions within water. How they say happy tears and sad tears actually have different make ups and how water charged with different emotions form different kinds of crystals (pretty fantasy science but I like fantasy), and that got me thinking about all the tears that get lost in the rain and how our emotions get mixed into this giant pool of water that then goes back into the sky only to rain back down upon us. What water that has hit my skin was once someone’s tear drop? Yikes. But then also, why do we think we live such separate lives when we’re connected by this thing that also makes up 70% of our body, that has also existed since the beginning of our world. Are we not more similar than we think then? Shouldn’t we care a little more for each other?
I don’t know why that made me less depressed but it did.
And 2) This other random term that I coined “Life Apnea”, like how people with sleep apnea stop breathing when they sleep and then suddenly take this huge gasp - likewise I felt like there are moments in life when I just fall asleep until something amazing comes along and inspires me and suddenly I'm breathing again and I FEEL ALIVEE~ the simple act of realising that I had this problem helped me a lot because then I just had to try to breathe more. Funny how we are that sometimes we don’t even know whats wrong with us. We can go on for a longggg time before noticing that something’s wrong because we’re so distracted with other things like money. But just being a little bit more self aware really helps fix these little things that make life a lot more beautiful and frankly much easier.
