Initial indications are that the man, who had a history of chronic disease, died of a heart attack. An autopsy still has to be performed to determine the actual cause of death. #COVID19

Watch out for diabetes symptoms
One out of ten Hong Kong citizens is diabetic. During the early stages, a person suffering from diabetes might not exhibit any symptoms. It is only when complications begin to occur that the disease is diagnosed!
Early detection, coupled with treatment and dietary adjustment, can reduce the effect diabetes on our lives. If you notice the symptoms below, make sure to go for regular checkups as a preventive measure.
☐ Craving for food— feel hungry easily; start looking for snacks to munch on just two hours after a meal
☐ Feels thirsty easily – mouth feels dry all the time and need to drink water to quench thirst
☐ Frequent urination – going to the toilet all the time; nocturia (frequent urination at night)
☐ Weight loss – when it is not planned
☐ Fatigue – often feel tired and sleepy
☐ Prone to infection – for instance, recurrent urethritis
☐ Irritable – feels warm and sweat all the time
☐ Itchy skin – itchy and tingling sensation on limbs
☐ Blurred vision – become dizzy easily
☐ Wounds take a long time to heal
Diabetes, if not controlled, can cause both acute and chronic complications such as heart diseases, stroke, kidney failure, retinopathy, and cataract, which may cause blindness. To find out more, consult a registered Chinese medicine practitioner.

TỪ VỰNG IELTS ANIMAL TESTING (Kèm ý tưởng)
PHẦN TỪ VỰNG
▪animal testing ≈ animal experimentation: thí nghiệm trên động vật
▪the breeding of genetically modified animals: việc nhân giống động vật biến đổi gen
▪non-animal alternative methods: các phương pháp thay thế phi động vật
▪to undergo safety testing involving animals: trải qua thử nghiệm an toàn sử dụng động vật
▪to replace tests with alternative techniques: thay thế các xét nghiệm bằng các kỹ thuật thay thế
▪to introduce human material into animals: đưa các tế bào/ mô… của con người vào động vật
▪to put human breast tumour cells into mice: đưa tế bào khối u ở người vào chuột
▪to allow researchers to test cancer drugs on human tissue: cho phép các nhà nghiên cứu thử nghiệm thuốc ung thư trên mô người
▪experiment on cell structures instead of whole animals: thí nghiệm trên cấu trúc tế bào thay vì trên toàn bộ cơ thể động vật
▪to use computer models: sử dụng mô hình máy tính
▪study human volunteers: nghiên cứu tình nguyện viên là con người
▪to use epidemiological studies: sử dụng nghiên cứu dịch tễ học
ARGUMENTS FOR ANIMAL TESTING
▪to contribute greatly to scientific advances: đóng góp lớn cho những tiến bộ khoa học
▪to be used to test drugs before they are given to humans: được sử dụng để kiểm tra thuốc trước khi được sử dụng trên đối tượng người
▪to study the effects of genetic diseases: nghiên cứu ảnh hưởng của các bệnh di truyền
▪to find out how genes work: tìm hiểu cách thức hoạt động của gen
▪to explore how organisms function: khám phá cách thức hoạt động của các bộ phận
▪to investigate treatments for human diseases: nghiên cứu các phương pháp điều trị bệnh ở người
▪to be essential in the quest to understand human diseases and ▪to develop new treatments: trở nên thiết yếu trong nỗ lực tìm hiểu các căn bệnh ở người và phát triển các phương pháp điều trị mới
▪a wealth of medical advances → make with the help of animal research (new vaccines, treatments for cancer, Parkinson’s disease, asthma and HIV): vô số tiến bộ y tế → được thực hiện với sự trợ giúp của nghiên cứu động vật (vắc-xin mới, phương pháp điều trị ung thư, bệnh Parkinson, bệnh hen suyễn và HIV)
ARGUMENTS AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING
▪to cause suffering to animals: gây đau khổ cho động vật
▪cruel, unethical, meaningless/pointless: độc ác, phi đạo đức, vô nghĩa
▪the differences in physiology, genetics and cell structures between animals and humans → invalidate most cures devised by animal experimentation: sự khác biệt về sinh lý, di truyền và cấu trúc tế bào giữa động vật và con người → vô hiệu hóa hầu hết các phương pháp chữa bệnh được tạo ra bởi thí nghiệm trên động vật
▪HIV → deadly to humans but not to most laboratory animals → studying HIV in other species → may not produce results→ applicable to humans: HIV → gây tử vong cho người nhưng không phải với hầu hết các động vật thí nghiệm → nghiên cứu HIV ở các loài khác → có thể không tạo ra kết quả → áp dụng cho người
▪animals do not get many of the human diseases that we do: động vật không mắc nhiều bệnh mà chúng ta đang mắc
▪treatments showing promise in animals → rarely work in humans: phương pháp điều trị hứa hẹn ở động vật → hiếm khi hoạt động trên con người

Yeah‼️???? Let’s support?#AMeaningToLife??? #AirAsiaMAKNA #AirAsia @AirAsia @makna_malaysia #AirAsiaBIG
Bravo!! #AirAsiaMAKNA raises RM300,300 for its third year commitment to fighting cancer
SiennyLovesDrawing has attended & proudly witnessed that AirAsia continues to champion cancer awareness & support underprivileged cancer fighters through its cancer campaign, #AirAsiaMAKNA
In the campaign's 3rd year, the airline raised RM300,300 for the National Cancer Council of Malaysia (MAKNA) through the sales of its limited edition pilot and cabin crew design t-shirts.
The cheque was presented by AirAsia Philippines Chairwoman and cancer fighter Marianne 'Maan' B Hontiveros, AirAsia Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat, and AirAsia X Malaysia CEO Benyamin Ismail, to MAKNA General Manager Farahida Mohd Farid at the ‘#AirAsiaMAKNA: The Big Fight Fiesta’ event held today.
AirAsia’s loyalty programme, AirAsia BIG Loyalty, also presented two million AirAsia BIG Points to MAKNA to provide cancer patients with air travel options.
AirAsia Malaysia CEO Riad Asmat said, “Cancer is a worldwide health concern affecting people of all ages, directly or indirectly. At AirAsia itself, we have many cancer survivors who never cease to inspire us with their tenacity and positivity. With our very own friends at work battling the disease, we knew that something has to be done to also help those going through the big C in the communities we serve.”
“Since 2015, our #AirAsiaMAKNA campaign has raised RM1 million of funds to assist underprivileged cancer patients in Malaysia. This humble yet important initiative would not be possible without your support. I would like to personally thank everyone who joined us in the fight against cancer,” he added.
MAKNA General Manager Farahida Mohd Farid said, “This campaign isn't about money. Initiatives like these go beyond that. Our alliance with AirAsia ultimately translates into saving lives and making a positive impact in cancer patients. Now Malaysians can not only just fly but make a social impact by touching a patient's life. It's an opportunity for everyone to help someone. AirAsia is truly a big heart organisation that has kept business and human touch in sync - that's why we work so well together. Thank you AirAsia, for making our cause your own. It is an honour serving with you."
Visitors to the cancer awareness event today were treated to an educational day filled with fun activities such as health talks, clinical examinations, cancer exhibitions, sampling and sale, special discounts for health products and many more. Popular local artists SonaOne, Alif Satar and Ismail Izzani also showed their support with live performances to delight attendees.
As a token of appreciation to the public for their support towards the campaign, AirAsia is offering a 20%* off all flights for bookings made via the AirAsia mobile app using the promotional code MAKNA20. Bookings are available from 8 July to 10 July 2018 for the travel period between 1 August to 22 November 2018. Guests can book these special promotional fares via AirAsia mobile app on iPhone or Android devices.
In August, AirAsia will continue as the official airline partner of MAKNA for the ‘Klimb Kinabalu 2018’ expedition, in which a total of 20 climbers including four Allstars from across the Group will conquer Mount Kinabalu to further raise funds and build cancer awareness.

I cut myself on a rusty knife in China and had to get a Tetanus shot! So how does it work and is it really only $2?
Tetanus, also known as lockjaw, is an infection characterized by muscle spasms. In the most common type, the spasms begin in the jaw and then progress to the rest of the body. These spasms usually last a few minutes each time and occur frequently for three to four weeks. Spasms may be so severe that bone fractures may occur. Other symptoms may include fever, sweating, headache, trouble swallowing, high blood pressure, and a fast heart rate. Onset of symptoms is typically three to twenty-one days following infection. It may take months to recover. About 10% of those infected die.
Tetanus is caused by an infection with the bacterium Clostridium tetani, which is commonly found in soil, saliva, dust, and manure. The bacteria generally enter through a break in the skin such as a cut or puncture wound by a contaminated object. They produce toxins that interfere with muscle contractions, resulting in the typical symptoms. Diagnosis is based on the presenting signs and symptoms. The disease does not spread between people.
Infection can be prevented by proper immunization with the tetanus vaccine. In those who have a significant wound and less than three doses of the vaccine, both immunization and tetanus immune globulin are recommended. The wound should be cleaned and any dead tissue should be removed. In those who are infected tetanus immune globulin or, if it is not available, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is used. Muscle relaxants may be used to control spasms. Mechanical ventilation may be required if a person's breathing is affected.
Tetanus occurs in all parts of the world but is most frequent in hot and wet climates where the soil contains a lot of organic matter. In 2015 there were about 209,000 infections and about 59,000 deaths globally. This is down from 356,000 deaths in 1990. Description of the disease by Hippocrates exists from at least as far back as the 5th century BC. The cause of the disease was determined in 1884 by Antonio Carle and Giorgio Rattone at the University of Turin, with a vaccine being developed in 1924.
