Some of my friends were surprised by the fact that despite having given birth a few times, I have not done any form of prenatal and postnatal massage. Until now. Many of them have given their positive feedback on how it helps to dispel wind, aids in womb recovery and tones the body back into shape.
I would say that it was mostly due to the fact that I first became a mum in Europe which made me see it more of a luxury than a necessity. However, now that age has caught up with me and I am also deeming this fourth childbirth as my last one, I figured out it was the right time to pamper myself while boosting my recovery process so I can better take care of four kids and a home.
Thanks to Post Natal Massage Singapore Pte Ltd, this time round, I managed to complete one session of prenatal massage (and I gave birth 4 days after!) as well as seven sessions of postnatal massage, yay! There were people asking me how I managed to do it since I am the sole caretaker of my kids and on the blog today, I share my solution, the setup, the experience, the service and the results. How many kilos did I lose? How did my body shape look before and after? How did I feel after every massage? Read my answers and more in the link below. Will be happy to answer any questions too so drop me a DM if you have any query. Thanks for reading!

Many parents worry when their child doesn’t speak clearly or fully in a sentence at a certain age .
Most child speak their first word at 10-14 months of age .
18 months - able to say about 10 simple words
2 years old - 50 words , use phrases or able to put together 2 word sentences .
4 years old - able to speak clearly
5 years old - able to tell a story and >5 words in a sentence .
Do remember that every child is different. And it’s an indicative if your child doesn’t reach a certain milestones.
Tips for early talk in your Child
1. Let your child talk even if he mumbles .
Most of the time we always interrupt trying to correct them . That’s a big No ...
2. Only correct them when they finish their sentences or done talking or whatever they are mumbling.
3. No baby talk even to babies
Communicate with your child like an adult . Do not use word like mamam, etc
4. Listen more
Parents should listen more to their child . This gives the opportunity for the child to talk much more .
5. Use ‘ Why, What and How ‘ in a conversation.
Broaden the conversation by asking questions to the child . This helps the child’s level of thinking and creativity .
6. Read stories together
Make Reading a fun manner and as exciting as possibly could . Usually the child loves the same story again and again .
7. Some kids are just natural talkers ...
Kids have different personalities. Some just talk and talk which is a positive thing while others may be the quiet type . It’s just how they are .
8. Do not silent them
Let the child talks or mumbles whatever comes in their mind . Just let it be ...
9. Build their confidence
Talking involves confidence in your child . Kids talk a lot because they are comfortable and confident with themselves . It’s their nature being curious and wanting to learn new things .
10. Kids are copies of their parents
Talkative mothers usually end up with talkative children . Rarely there are talkative Dads out there - Haha

The kids said "Mama, it's a good thing we went for our cruise at the end of last year!" Yup, I think we were indeed very lucky in terms of timing and we thoroughly loved every bit of our first mum-and-kids cruise on board Quantum of the Seas.
It might be a couple of years, or perhaps even more, before we will think of going for our next cruise. Yup, so these pictures we took on board are definitely some precious moments that I cherish deeply. The kids always like to rewatch their video too so that we can think back and reminisce the fun experiences we had. We might miss travelling but it's much, much more important to stay safe and be socially responsible. So we are contented to stay on our shores for as long as we can and in the meantime find other ways to broaden our horizons, like watching documentaries or reading books from Lonely Planet.
Anyway, I thought of posting this because we just watched Titanic a couple of days ago. The girls had been asking me for a long time to let them watch the show as they heard about it from their friends and the big girl even learnt some facts about the ship in school. Well, thanks to the long weekend, we finally found time to do.
It was my nth time watching it yet I still thoroughly enjoyed and was touched by many scenes from this classic movie. One of the kids kept tearing, one was very 感动 while one had a million questions to ask. Haha. I was just pretty amazed that we sat through the over 3-hour long movie together, though we did have snack breaks and toilet breaks in between.
Vacations and movie nights are two of the family bonding activities we love. So now that we can't enjoy the former, I think we will look forward to the latter even more. We do watch the news, documentaries, variety shows and cartoons from time to time too, but nothing beats a good movie with an engaging plot that keeps us glued to our seats. In thise sense, I am actually happy to let my kids be my best movie kakis since they were young.
Happy Hump Day, people! It's gonna be an exciting week ahead for all of us for sure!
