Because of what's going on in the world right now, it looks like my Japan trip will probably be cancelled. I'm not quite in the bracket where I can cancel it just yet, as it's still a few weeks away, but right now it doesn't look good. As a travel video channel, this has messed up my video schedule, so here's an update about what's coming up. Sorry to everyone else who's also had their travel plans cancelled or postponed. 「ホンダ・NS400R」を発売
　本田技研工業(株)は、新設計の水冷・2サイクル・90度V型3気筒エンジン(総排気量・387cm3)を搭載し、フルフェアリングを標準装備した精悍なスタイルのロードスポーツバイク「ホンダ・NS400R」を5月10日より発売する。

　このNS400Rは、83、84年度と、2年連続ロードレース世界GP500のメーカーチャンピオンを獲得した競争用二輪車「ホンダNS500」の最新技術の数々を投入して開発したものである。
　エンジンは、クランクケース前方水平に2気筒、その後方に90度の角度をもって1気筒を配置した、軽量、スリムでコンパクト設計ホンダ・NS400V型 3気筒である。さらに耐焼付性、摩耗性にすぐれたアルミ一体成型シリンダーに、シリンダー内壁をニッケルとシリコン・カーバイドで特殊コーティング加工処理をしているNSシリンダーを採用したことにより、フリクションロス低減や耐久性向上を実現。また、前方2気筒に電気的にエンジン回転数を検知し、自動的に排気容積を変化させ、効果的な脈動効果が得られる自動調整トルク増幅排気機構(ATAC)や、さらにコンロッドに高速耐久性にすぐれたハイスピードステンレス製のニードルベアリングを採用。これらにより、低中速域で高いトルクを発生、しかも高回転域(最高出力59PS/8500rpm、最大トルク 5.1kg-m/8000rpm)までスムーズに回る扱い易いエンジン性能を実現させている。
