Healing broken hearts, and bringing hope
“Lola” and “Ina” were captured by dog meat traders in Sukabumi (West Java, Indonesia) whilst we – the Dog Meat-Free Indonesia coalition – were conducting our nationwide investigations. There was a chance to save them… and that is one we always take…
Both Lola and Ina were terrified, but Lola regained trust and bounced back quickly under the care of our teams. Whilst Ina needed some more time and care, Lola was quickly fostered alongside another rescue dog – Charlie – and they soon became good friends… and were adopted by their forever family together!
Lola and Ina now live the lives they deserve … and what always shocks us most about these dogs that have endured so much brutality, is their ability to forgive all they have endured and to love life again.
So, in honour of those we are able to save, we will keep fighting for those who are still waiting for change…
